USC competed in the Convergence Tournament last week, earning four wins and capped off the tournament by defeating No. 17 Pacific 13-8. The Trojans took an early lead and were able to maintain it throughout the match. Rachel Gazzaniga, Alex Bonaguidi and Alejandra Aznar all scored multiple goals. All-American senior goalkeeper Carolyne Stern is averaging 8.7 saves per game. St Francis is in the middle of a five-game road trip having won the last three by nine or more goals.

The first three games were all against top 10 DIII opponents with the latest being a 17-6 win over DII No. 6 University of La Verne. In the win, Emese Szucs led with four goals and Sam Eschleman and Caylah Olay added three goals each. The Red Flash will finish the California road trip against the USA Water Polo Youth Team and then travel to the University of Michigan in two weeks.
This is the first meeting between St. Francis and USC. St. Francis is 0-11 against members of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
